Pitch Me Baby x OpenAI: Build, Pitch & Connect in Almaty
Pitch Me Baby is coming from Poland to Almaty for a special event bringing together founders, entrepreneurs, investors, developers and ambitious students interested in startups and artificial intelligence.
The evening will combine an OpenAI enablement experience, a virtual keynote, short presentations from participants, and startup pitches in the signature Pitch Me Baby format. Don't forget about the networking.
What to expect
OpenAI enablement webinar
Registered participants will be invited to an online webinar hosted on the 6th of August at 8-9pm.
Participants will receive access to technology, supporting them in experimenting with OpenAI tools and building their own projects.
Specific benefits and participation details will be communicated directly to approved attendees.
OpenAI keynote
The event will begin with a virtual keynote from OpenAI focused on builders, entrepreneurs and the practical opportunities created by artificial intelligence.
Open mic: Built with AI
Several participants will be invited to briefly present what they created after the enablement webinar.
The open mic is intended for quick, practical demonstrations rather than polished startup presentations.
Pitch Me Baby startup session
Between five and seven selected startups will pitch in front of the audience.
Each startup receives:
5 minutes to pitch;
4 minutes of direct feedback from the audience;
1 minute to respond to the feedback.
There is no traditional Q&A. The format is based on concise pitches and honest, actionable feedback.
Networking
The official program will be followed by networking with founders, investors, students, developers and members of Almaty’s technology community.
Food and refreshments are planned for the networking session.

This event is designed for:
startup founders and aspiring entrepreneurs;
investors and representatives of the local business ecosystem;
developers, AI builders and computer science students;
business students from KIMEP and other leading universities;
Kazakh students studying internationally and returning to Almaty;
people looking for co-founders, projects, investment opportunities or new professional connections.
You do not need to have an existing startup to apply.
We are looking for curious, ambitious people who want to contribute to the event rather than only observe it.

The agenda may be subject to minor changes.
WANT TO PITCH YOUR STARTUP?
We will select approximately five to seven startups to pitch during the event.
Startups from any industry and at any stage may apply, although preference may be given to teams that:
have already identified a meaningful problem;
can clearly explain their product or solution;
preferably found traction
are open to direct public feedback;
can deliver a concise five-minute presentation in English;
are connected to Kazakhstan or the Central Asian startup ecosystem.
Pitching startups may also receive additional technology support and access to a joint mentorship opportunity provided by the event’s partners.
Submitting a pitch application does not guarantee a pitching slot. Selected teams will be contacted separately.

Pitch Me Baby is an international startup event format that has organized more than 80 editions across eight countries, typically gathering over 100 participants per event.
Its signature format combines short startup pitches, direct audience feedback and informal networking in an atmosphere that is energetic, accessible and business-focused.

Completing the registration form does not automatically guarantee admission. Approved participants will receive a confirmation email from Luma.
