India's first Claude Impact Lab is here. And we're not starting small.
In partnership with Kumbhathon Innovation Foundation and the Government of Maharashtra, India, we're bringing together the brightest builders in India to solve a real civic problem affecting 80 million people at Kumbh Mela 2027. One full day. One problem. Solutions that actually get deployed.

Developers, builders, designers and problem solvers who want their work to leave a mark. Whether you're deep into Claude Code, just getting started with AI, or bring expertise in civic, policy or operations, if you want your skills to actually matter, this event is for you.

One problem statement. Multiple teams. Each building their own Claude powered solution. Government domain experts in the room. A judging panel of AI leaders and a government representative picks the winners.

❓ FAQs
What is the Claude Impact Lab? The Claude Impact Lab is the Claude Community's hackathon brand focused on partnering with local governments and nonprofits to solve real civic problems. Impact Labs are happening around the world. This is India's first.
Who is organizing this? Organized by Sumeet Doshi, India's Claude Community Ambassador, sponsored by Anthropic.
Do I need to code? No. Domain knowledge, design thinking, user research and presentation skills are all valuable. Every team needs more than just engineers.
Will food be provided? Yes. Coffee at check-in and lunch provided.
What are the judging criteria? Real world impact, technical execution, creativity and deployability.
Do I need to be an AI expert? Not at all. Familiarity with Claude, Claude Code or MCP is a plus but not required. If you care about the problem and want to help build a solution, there's a place for you on a team.
