Demo Night by AI Kitchen
AI Kitchen is hosting its first-ever Demo Night, and we could not be more excited to showcase what students and builders have been creating this quarter.
On June 5th, student teams will demo their quarter-long Slow Roast projects live, featuring a range of real AI applications built from scratch. We are also opening up a few special 5-minute community demo slots for builders, tinkerers, researchers, and dreamers who have been cooking up their own AI projects and want to share them with an excited audience.
Whether you want to explore some amazing student-built AI projects and see live demos in action, or you have a project of your own that you would like to present, this event is for you.
Got an AI project you have been building? Whether it is polished or still a work in progress, we would love to see it.
🎟️ Register for the event on Luma to attend and explore the demos.
🧑💻 Want to present your own project? Sign up to demo here: https://tinyurl.com/Call-AI-Demo or scan the QR given in the invitation image
Our guest speaker for the evening is Jay Prakash Thakur, Senior AI/ML Engineer at Microsoft specializing in agentic AI and LLMs, with prior ML engineering experience at Amazon. Jay also serves on SCU’s Industry Advisory Board, is currently pursuing studies at Stanford GSB, and mentors teams in global AI and sustainability challenges.
The evening runs from 5:30–7:30 PM, with demos beginning at 6:15 PM in the SCDI North Lobby. Judges will confer at 7:00 PM, followed by our “Best Of” awards announcement at 7:15 PM.
If you are curious about what student-built AI projects actually look like, this is the night to find out. Come mingle, explore the demos, and celebrate what happens when technical and non-technical minds cook together.
