CUNY Graduate Center Digital Initiatives at PIT-NY Regional Hub Activation
This showcase day offers an "open house on the road," where Graduate Center Digital Initiatives (GCDI) will highlight and showcase a range of projects and services, explain the many things they do at The CUNY Graduate Center, and explore the impact and legacy of the GC Digital Fellows, an interdisciplinary team of doctoral student fellows who have served as a digital scholarship "think and do tank" of The Graduate Center since it first launched in 2012.
The day's events will include live demonstrations of some of their workshops and Open Educational Resources (such as the DHRIFT - The Digital Humanities Resource Infrastructure for Teaching Technology), resources and supports on The CUNY Academic Commons, and The Graduate Center Digital Research Institute (GC-DRI). The event will also highlight work supported through GCDI by the Provosts' Digital Innovation Grants. Fellows will also facilitate an ongoing collective inquiry into the labor that goes into digital projects, and explore an interactive archive of 14 years of student-authored blogs about digital scholarship.
