Scaling DeFi: Cannes Edition
Scaling DeFi returns for its second edition during ETHCC in Cannes.
Hosted by KPK, Euler, Gearbox, Anchorage, RedStone and additional ecosystem partners to be announced, this curated gathering brings together leading DeFi builders and institutional participants for a focused conversation on how decentralised finance continues to scale.
This year’s edition introduces a new format: two editorial-style conversations to be released as a special episode of the 0xResearch podcast by Blockworks.
The discussions will be moderated by Anastasia and Silvio, hosts of 0xResearch, guiding a fluid conversation between participants.
Topics will explore how DeFi is evolving toward institutional-grade infrastructure: from stablecoins and tokenised assets to capital efficiency, credit markets and onchain risk management.
Session 1: Institutional DeFi — From Stablecoins to RWAs
Everyone's been talking about institutional DeFi for years. The question worth asking now is what has actually changed: what's working, where real demand exists, and what remains unresolved.
– Marcia Blacken, Head of Porto Solutions (Anchorage Digital)
– Oya Celiktemur, EMEA Director (Ondo Finance)
– Jonathan Han, CEO (Euler Finance)
– Marcelo Ruiz de Olano, Co-Founder (KPK)
Moderated by Silvio Busonero (0xResearch x Blockworks)
Session 2: Capital Efficiency & Yield in Modern DeFi
Most yield in DeFi is still incentive-driven. The interesting question is how much of it isn't, and what that looks like at scale.
– Ilgiz, CPO (Gearbox)
– Mike Massari, Strategic Advisor (RedStone)
– engn33r, Solutions Engineer (Yearn)
– Giel Detienne, Head of Risk Curation (KPK)
Moderated by Anastasiia Zbandut (0xResearch x Blockworks)
