Breakfast Dialogue - From Skills to Scale: Building the Ecosystems Africa’s Young Enterprises Need to Thrive.
The 2026 Breakfast Dialogue will bring together leaders and stakeholders from government, business, finance, the social sector, training institutions, SMEs, ecosystem intermediaries and the innovation space to explore how we can create stronger pathways to economic opportunity for people and enterprises across Africa.
The Dialogue will examine what it takes to move beyond isolated interventions such as grants, training and individual enterprise support towards stronger ecosystems that connect talent, skills, finance, markets, technology and business opportunities.
A key focus will be the evolving role of the social sector. Beyond providing grants and capacity-building programmes, how can non-profits and foundations help connect entrepreneurs and young talent to the resources, networks, markets and opportunities they need to grow and thrive?
Through keynote conversations, fireside discussions and practical perspectives from leaders across sectors, the Dialogue will explore the gaps between skills, capability, capital, markets, scale and jobs, and the roles different stakeholders can play in addressing them.
Participants will leave with insights into emerging opportunities, cross-sector approaches and practical ideas for building stronger pathways from talent and innovation to sustainable enterprises, jobs and economic growth.
