About Event

Codex Community Builder Day at The Mill, Drogheda, Ireland

Join us at The Mill Enterprise Hub in Drogheda for a full-day, hands-on Codex Community Builder Day focused on building with Codex, OpenAI’s coding agent, AI agents, automations, and practical developer workflows.

This is a build-first event. You’ll bring your laptop, choose the track that fits your experience level, and spend the day making something with support from mentors and other builders. We’ll keep talks short and practical, with light sessions on Codex skills, plugins, building tools, and using Codex to create workflows and automations.

Beginners can follow a guided path from first setup to a small working project. Intermediate builders can learn practical Codex workflows for prototyping, editing, testing, and shipping faster. Advanced participants can bring their own project, explore deeper agentic workflows, or build a more ambitious tool or automation.

You can come with an idea, join a suggested track, or simply arrive ready to learn. The goal is to leave with something you made, a clearer understanding of how Codex and AI agents fit into modern software work, and new connections in Drogheda and Ireland’s builder community.

An Al Builder Day is a practical hackathon designed for beginners and experts alike

Who Should Join

Students, developers, founders, designers, researchers, operators, and curious builders are welcome.

You do not need to be a Codex expert. If you are interested in learning how AI agents can help you build software, tools, workflows, prototypes, or automations, this is for you.

What We’ll Build Around

The day will focus on practical Codex use cases, including:

- Setting up and using Codex effectively
- Using Codex for prototyping, editing, testing, and debugging
- Building small tools and workflows
- Creating automations for real tasks
- Exploring Codex skills, plugins, and agentic workflows
- Using AI agents to speed up software and product development

Getting There

A bus service will be provided from the train station to The Mill before the event, and back to the train station after the event.

More details on pickup times and location will be shared with registered attendees closer to the day.

What To Bring
Bring your laptop and charger. That’s it.
A project idea is helpful but optional.

Food, coffee, and drinks will be provided.

At the end of the day, participants can share what they built, what they learned, or how they used Codex in their workflow.

Come to learn. Bring your laptop. Leave having built something with Codex at The Mill.
