Closing Your First Customer Contracts
Your first customer contract is the one every investor, lender, and future customer will underwrite. It's also the one you have the least leverage to negotiate.
Pilots that never convert. LOIs that look great in a deck and fall apart in diligence. Anchor customers asking for exclusivity, MFN pricing, and performance guarantees your balance sheet can't back. And upstream, suppliers who won't commit capacity until you have customers, while customers won't commit until you can prove supply.
Getting your first signed customer is a big deal.
