The Inaugural AgeTech SF Hackathon
Caregiving is one of the fastest-growing societal challenges—and a ripe arena for AI and human-centered design to make a practical difference. This hackathon focuses on supporting middle-income families—those too “rich” for public benefits yet unable to afford full private care—who are navigating long-term care for older adults.
We’ll gather designers, engineers, data scientists, clinicians, founders, and operators to prototype real solutions that help caregivers and older adults thrive.
Challenge Themes
Projects will address practical pain points across the caregiving journey, including:
Finding and accessing trustworthy care
Translating complex options and costs into a clear care roadmap
Connecting caregivers with local organizations and mutual-aid networks
Sustaining caregiver wellbeing while managing daily routines
Designing joyful, accessible experiences for aging in place
** The specific topic will be announced on Friday night. We'll also send you a Luma message so you can get started as soon as you'd like.
