The evening will recognize Global Citizens cofounder Jomana Abdallah, Esq., a longtime immigration attorney and member of the SFLRLA Executive Board. For more than a decade, Ms. Abdallah has represented founders, researchers, and visionaries building their futures in the United States. Her work reflects a commitment shared by those gathered this evening: expanding access to exceptional legal representation and supporting the people who keep our communities moving forward.
Guests will include members of the judiciary, leading investors and founders, attorneys from across the Bay Area, representatives from SFLRLA and Americans for Immigrant Justice, and clients and friends of Global Citizens.
The program will feature remarks from the Honorable Judge Chamberlin, a former Immigration Judge with the U.S. Department of Justice, followed by a toast honoring Ms. Abdallah from Owen Zhang, cofounder and CEO of Global Citizens. A live performance by a local jazz band will accompany an evening of conversation among leaders from San Francisco’s legal, technology, and entrepreneurial communities.

Founded in 1971 by Mario Obledo, Cruz Reynoso, and Luis Garcia, the San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association has spent more than five decades championing the Latino legal community.
What began as a small group of attorneys gathering at the MALDEF offices has grown into an enduring institution whose legacy helped give rise to today’s Hispanic National Bar Association.
