Abstract
Harness Engineering: Improving AI-Assisted Development
Prompting agents for complex tasks often leads to inconsistent execution. Harness engineering focuses on building the technical scaffolding around models to enforce strict instruction following. In this talk, I will walk through how our 3-person team uses Claude Code as a central orchestrator to manage specialized sub-agents for planning, coding, testing, and deployment. We will look at the specific project scaffolding, custom hooks, and agent skill definitions that make this system work. The focus will be on the architectural feedback loops required to move from manual prompting to a reliable multi-agent development pipeline.
Delegating to Devin: Engineering Workflows, Incidents, and Codebase Context
Integrating an agent into an engineering team requires a shift from writing prompts to delegating tasks. In this talk, I will walk through how we set up Devin to handle bug triage, prototyping, and code reviews. We will look at specific incidents where the system failed, what those failures taught us about setting guardrails, and how we use Devin's Wiki tool to generate documentation directly from our codebase. The focus will be on the practical mechanics of providing context, managing architectural dependencies, and making an agentic system work within existing team workflows.
Speakers
Yuriy Babyak
Co-Founder of Research.tech, a platform for due diligence and deep research. A former full-stack developer, he has spent the last four years as an engineer at Goelett and as a freelancer building production agentic systems for startups. He specializes in harness engineering, designing architectures that allow agents to execute complex tasks while strictly adhering to instructions. His hands-on work focuses on integrating models like Claude into engineering workflows to manage codebase development and deployment.
Sophia Hassan
A tech enthusiast and former intern turned Software Engineer, I specialize in bridging the gap between sleek frontend design and robust full-stack architecture while exploring the next frontier of AI-driven development and software evolution. I wrote my first app before I had a driver’s license....very impressive until you find out I don't have a driving license
Organizers
ActiveCampaign
Marketing industry has spent decades asking humans to think like machines - configure this trigger, map that workflow, repeat. At ActiveCampaign we are building the opposite: a platform where AI handles the orchestration, and our customers can focus on outcomes. Active Intelligence, our production AI layer, is what makes that real - autonomous campaign execution across email, SMS, and CRM, at the scale of tens of thousands of businesses. Our Cracow Hub is where nine engineering teams turn that ambition into working software - and where agentic workflows, RAG, MCP, and AI-assisted development are not tools we experiment with, but the way we build.
