Imagine a table with four seats. One is occupied. Do you join or let them sit alone? If you sit, do you introduce yourself?
Story Café exists as your answer.
The Gathering
We bring small groups together in curated cafés and spaces to explore a simple truth: that dining experiences are often transactional and designed for spending.
This is an intentional storytelling gathering not centered on spend or consumption, but connection.
Story Café reimagines what it means for food and drinks to fuel engagement. We want you to have meaningful interactions.
You're more than welcome to order food or drinks, though the purpose is to connect.
We want to know your story, what you're currently creating, writing, or producing. You might meet a collaborator or project partner.
Each gathering brings together a small group of strangers to:
Meet where others are already present
Choose presence and engagement over silence
Share stories that rarely surface in everyday conversation
Listen instead of observing
We ask questions to start conversations and connections throughout the experience.
Please note: there is a brief reflection form to help us better understand what you need from shared spaces like cafés and communal environments.
The goal is to eventually create a permanent Story Café dedicated to storytelling and community, so we want to know exactly how we can best serve you and your needs.
Your Participation
Your ticket confirms your participation and seating. We are reserving a dedicated space and/or table for the gathering, and facilitating a structured storytelling experience with a partnered venue.
Because this is an intentionally designed event, attendance is limited to preserve the quality of interaction and ensure the experience remains intimate and intentional.
The event location is shared with confirmed participants.
