About Event

Hey Pythonistas! Level up your Data & AI game at PyWorks October 2026. This is a full-day workshop designed to level up your Python skills where we ditch the slides and get straight to coding—covering everything from data wrangling to AI-powered automation.

Join us on October 3, 2026 at RELX Reed Elsevier, UP Technohub, Quezon City. Whether you're into wrangling data or building AI-powered apps, we've got two parallel tracks lined up just for you:

Track 1: Data & Analytics

  • Data-Engineered Analytics: Building Schema-Driven Event Pipelines in Python by Alysson Alvaran – Learn how to transform messy, unstructured JSON logs into clean, query-ready tables using Python, Pydantic, and DuckDB.

  • Weather-Weather Lang: What Can Data Tell Us? by Vanessa Althea Bermudez – Explore a practical machine learning workflow using real-world weather data—from data prep to model evaluation.

Track 2: AI & Automation

  • Generative AI and Prompt Engineering by Lee Mark Chavez – Go beyond basic prompts and learn a structured approach that works at scale, with options for both Python and no-code tracks.

  • Intro to Context Engineering: From Strategic Prompting to Building Apps with Low-Code AI by Daniel Caparro – Learn how to turn strategic prompting into functional applications using low-code and generative AI platforms.

What to expect:

  • Code-first sessions – This is a workshop, not a lecture. You'll be writing actual Python code throughout the day.

  • Two parallel tracks – Choose the path that fits your interest, whether it's data or AI.

  • Beginner-to-intermediate friendly – Designed for Python users who are ready to take the next step. No prior ML or AI experience required.

Logistics:

  • What to bring: Laptop with a power cable (we'll provide WiFi and electricity).

  • Food: Snacks and refreshments will be served.

  • Slots: Limited to ensure an optimal hands-on experience for everyone.
