This session reframes the anxiety: AI's real target isn't testers, it's test debt - the backlog of untested edge cases, brittle regression suites, manual data setup, and repetitive execution that quietly accumulates in every quality organization. AI has made generating automated tests faster and easier than ever. With a single prompt, we can create hundreds of test cases, automation scripts, and even self-healing test suites. But despite this progress, many teams still hesitate to trust their automation when it matters most, just before a production release.
In this session, we'll explore why the real challenge in modern testing is no longer generating tests, but generating confidence. Through practical examples, we'll discuss how AI can unintentionally create duplicate coverage, noisy test suites, and false confidence, why green pipelines don't always translate into release readiness, and how testers can design automation that teams genuinely trust.
