Cannabis at a Crossroads: A Community Conversation

Port Hueneme was the first city in Ventura County to welcome cannabis storefronts. Since then, Oxnard, Ventura, and other nearby cities have opened their own, and that competition is showing up in our local businesses, our workforce, and our city budget.

Join me for an afternoon of conversation. We’ll start with a meet-and-greet and light refreshments. At 4:00 PM, I’ll moderate a panel with Chelsea Candelaria, Richard Ng, and Sergio Burga on competition, jobs, and what it all means for city revenue and services, followed by your questions.

Schedule
3:00 PM: Doors open, meet & greet, snacks and refreshments
4:00 PM: Welcome and opening remarks
4:08 PM: Panel discussion, moderated by James Importante
4:43 PM: Audience Q&A
4:55 PM: Closing remarks
