Build with AI: Student Hackathon
Build with AI
Turn an idea into a working solution using AI — no coding experience required.
AI is changing the way ideas are researched, developed, tested, and brought to life. Build with AI is a hands-on, three-hour hackathon designed to help students learn how to use today’s AI tools as part of a practical problem-solving process.
Designed primarily for college students, with HPU students especially encouraged to participate, the event will bring participants together in teams to move from an initial challenge to a solution they can demonstrate and present.
Rather than simply learning about AI, you’ll use it.
Throughout the hackathon, you’ll learn how to use AI to help you:
Develop and refine ideas
Research a problem and understand who it affects
Think through potential users and customers
Evaluate and improve possible solutions
Develop a simple business model
Create and test a prototype
Prepare a short pitch
Work more effectively with AI as a thinking and building partner
You do not need coding, entrepreneurship, or previous hackathon experience to participate. The process will be guided step-by-step, and the emphasis is on learning how to think, experiment, and build with AI.
