Judging Search at Global Scale: Using LLMs to Evaluate Relevance Across Languages
The first talk will be delivered by Dr. Aleksandra Kovachev, Senior Data Science Manager at Delivery Hero. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and nearly a decade of experience in applied data science, she brings deep expertise in production-grade machine learning systems and large-scale AI evaluation.
Her session will focus on the design of automated relevance evaluation frameworks for multilingual search systems, with a particular emphasis on the emerging challenge of evaluating generative outputs at scale using LLM-based judges. This is a highly relevant topic for senior data professionals working on search, ranking, recommendation, and GenAI systems in production.
Delivery Hero, one of the world’s leading online food delivery platforms and one of Europe’s most prominent tech scale-ups, operates at a massive international scale. In this environment, Dr. Kovachev leads data science teams addressing complex problems across food ontology, menu image generation, and query intelligence, leveraging state-of-the-art machine learning and AI architectures to drive measurable product impact.

Demand Forecasting with Data Science and AgenticAI
Our second talk features Dr. Irena Bojarovska, Applied Scientist at Zalando, where she works at the intersection of advanced forecasting, causal inference, and AI-driven decision systems.
With a Ph.D. in Mathematics and nearly a decade of applied experience, Irena will address a challenge familiar to every senior data professional: how rigorous academic methodology can be systematically translated into scalable, production-grade tooling that directly informs and drives operational decision-making.
Using a methodology for forecast stability evaluation, Dr. Bojarovska will demonstrate how research-grade methods can be systematically transformed into production value — from the original paper, to an executable notebook, and ultimately into a production-ready Streamlit application that supports data-driven decision-making at scale.
A particular focus will be on how Agentic AI workflows can accelerate the path from experimentation to deployment, reducing friction between research, prototyping, and production engineering.
For leaders and senior ICs in data science, this is a highly relevant session on time-series forecasting, MLOps translation, productization of analytical methods, and decision intelligence.
At Zalando — a leading European online platform for fashion and lifestyle — Dr. Bojarovska has worked on causal inference for marketing, automation, demand forecasting, hierarchical reconciliation, and time-series foundation models, bringing cutting-edge methodology into large-scale production environments.
