San Francisco Ruby Startup Conference
The second edition of the San Francisco Ruby Startup Conference: two days of talks and organized networking at SFJAZZ, Nov 10-11, and a community day on Nov 12. 450 Ruby founders and engineers, one room.
What you will hear
The people who wrote your Gemfile are on stage: Solid Queue (Rosa Gutiérrez, 37signals), GoodJob (Ben Sheldon), AnyCable and TestProf (Vladimir Dementyev), Yabeda (Andrey Novikov), Herb (Marco Roth), and Ruby core itself (Peter Zhu, Shopify). Plus four talks on agentic Rails from people running it in production: Fin at 150,000 requests per second, Order.co's legacy monolith, CJ Avilla on agents as teammates in your app, and RubyLLM 2.0.

Networking is on the schedule
The other room is full of people shipping the same problem you are. Startups and scaleups get two tracks, and the tracks weave: when one is on stage, the other is in an organized networking session, then they swap. Everyone is placed in at least two groups of people working on the same kind of system, with 60 seconds on the mic. Founders and founding teams get their own round with Y Combinator.
Tickets
Regular: $450 until Sep 30
Company-sponsored: $650, invoiced and expensable, no deadline. Buying this tier is what keeps Regular at $450.
Both are 3-day passes with access to all talks, all networking sessions, and the community day. Your ticket also unlocks the Pier, the pre-conference game: make your Cloud Card at https://clouds.sfruby.com and find your people on the map before you meet them in the room.
Need sign-off first? https://sfruby.com/manager/ has the cost itemized and an email to send.
Bringing your team?
Teams of 5 or more get extended time, and slides, on the networking stage to introduce the company to people looking to join one. Register everyone in one order, or email conference@sfruby.com for a single invoice. How it works: https://sfruby.com/team/
Why bet on Ruby?
Ruby is where startups grow. The companies that scaled on Ruby and Rails are the products we use daily: Shopify, Coinbase, Figma, and Chime are public, and Stripe runs a 50-million-line Ruby monolith. A wave of unicorns is right behind them, from Fin, Gusto, and Persona to Checkr, Apollo and Factorial, and a new generation is shipping leaner than ever: Whop reached a $1.6B valuation with 15 engineers and SurgeAI reached $1.4B run rate with fewer than 100 people, both on Rails.
Organized by Evil Martians, with the SF Ruby community.
