About Event

We're bringing back our party from last year, and this time it lands between Oakland Tech Week and SF Tech Week: one Friday night when both sides of the bridge share a dance floor.

Expect music, food, drinks, dancing, karaoke, and a DIY swag station. Free with RSVP. [21+]

Who's throwing it? The Tech We Want is a network of builders, funders, organizers, and artists working toward technology that serves people and spreads its benefits widely. We convene gatherings like The Light House at SXSW, fund community-led projects, and back the people already building alternatives to extractive tech. TTWW was launched by Omidyar Network, the philanthropic investment firm founded by eBay founder Pierre Omidyar.

Why "Love is Our LLM"? The industry is busy scaling large language models. We're running on a Large Love Model: technology built on care and connection, centering people and purpose.

Note: Once you register, Luma gives you a personal invite link. Feel free to share it with someone who should be in the room!
