Accelerating Biology with AI

​Online event with Tanay Lohia from Mandrake Bio, Anindyadeep Sannigrahi from LiteFold, and Ravi Sharma from OpenBio on why biology has become one of the earliest and clearest domains where AI is changing scientific work.

​Mandrake Bio is working on AI-native protein design and gene-editing systems. LiteFold is building AI infrastructure for computational drug discovery and therapeutics research. OpenBio is building a Cursor for Biology. Together, these are part of a broader set of AIxBio test cases showing what useful AI-for-science systems can look like in practice.

​We will discuss what has worked so far, what remains difficult, and what it takes to build AI systems that can work with domain experts in biology rather than just around them.
