Let’s be honest: transitions are hard.
Maybe you’re eyeing a new industry.
Maybe you’re itching to shed the corporate handcuffs and do your own thing.
Maybe you’ve already leapt.
Maybe you were let go from a job you loved.
Maybe you chose to walk away — with no Plan B.
Maybe you’re stepping off the treadmill for full-time caregiving.
Maybe you’re returning after years of full-time parenting.
The “in between” is messy. Daunting. And often, lonely.
But they’re also the times when you most need new perspectives, fresh connections, and supportive peers who get it.
That’s why we’re gathering the Rafflesian community for an evening of networking, empathy, and possibility.
Rafflesians In Between is a casual networking drinks session where we’ll:
Meet fellow Rafflesians navigating professional and personal transitions.
Share stories, lessons learned, and useful resources.
Build bridges across industries and life stages.
Expect an evening of drinks and light bites, plus plenty of opportunities to connect, swap notes and build meaningful relationships.
We'll kick off with a bit of structured networking to get everyone to meet who they would like to meet, followed by free and easy conversations all night long.
Because being “in between” isn’t a weakness. It’s a corridor full of open doors.
And you don’t have to walk it alone.
Who Should Come
This event is for Rafflesians who are:
In career or life transitions (switching roles, pivoting paths, or re-entering the workforce).
Exploring entrepreneurship or new opportunities after corporate life.
Keen to connect, share, and support others in similar seasons.
And also for:
Rafflesians who are settled but want to give back, mentor, or simply cheer on others in transition.
Why It Matters
Our Rafflesian network is one of our greatest assets. But too often, we only see each other at polished alumni dinners or when we’ve already “made it.”
This gathering is about showing up for one another in the messy middle — because that’s where the most growth (and the strongest bonds) are forged.

1. Do I have to be in transition to attend this?
Not at all. Even if you’re settled in your career and life stage, you’re welcome to come, share your experiences, and support fellow Rafflesians who are navigating change.
2. Do I need to be from a specific Raffles school?
Nope! Whether you’re from RI, RJC, RGS, or other Rafflesian affiliations, you’re part of the network — and invited.
3. Can I come if I'm not Rafflesian?
Sure, non-Rafflesians are welcome if they come along with a Rafflesian friend. The more perspectives, the richer the conversations.
4. What’s included in the ticket?
Your ticket includes entry, light bites, and a welcome drink. Additional drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.
5. What’s the dress code?
Smart casual — but really, come as you are. Green, black and white if you feel nostalgic. Or pink feathers if that's more your thing — you do you.
6. Who is organising this?
The event is organised by Debbie Yong — a Rafflesian in her own “in-between” season — together with the support of the RGS Alumnae, Old Rafflesians Association, and the Rafflesian Business Network, plus a network of Rafflesian-run partners and sponsors.
