10月2日（金）より NEORT++ で開催するグループ展「自己破壊芸術展 / An Exhibition of Auto-Destructive Art」の、オープニングレセプションを開催します。出展作家が在廊し、作品を前に直接話を聞ける夜です。ドリンクをご用意してお待ちしています。

本展について
グスタフ・メッツガーが1959年に提唱した「自己破壊芸術（Auto-Destructive Art）」を出発点に、破壊を創造と等価なプロセスとして捉え直す展覧会です。腐食や解体、消失といった変化を作品の構造そのものに組み込んだメッツガーの発想を、現代の分散型計算環境において読み直します。
ブロックチェーン上で、作品はコードとして実行され、トランザクションとして記録され、状態を変えながら存続します。一度実行すれば元に戻せないこと、時間とともに条件が変わること、消失や変質の条件をプログラム自身に書き込めること。メッツガーが物質に導入した「自ら変化し、やがて失われていく作品」という構造を、計算そのものの性質として実装する試みです。

About the exhibition
Taking Gustav Metzger's 1959 concept of Auto-Destructive Art as its starting point, the exhibition reconsiders destruction as a process equal to creation. Metzger built corrosion, disintegration and disappearance into the structure of the work itself; this show carries that thinking into the conditions of distributed computation.
On a blockchain, a work is executed as code, recorded as transactions, and persists while changing state. An operation performed once cannot be undone. Conditions shift over time. Terms of decay and disappearance can be written into the program itself. What Metzger introduced into matter can now be implemented as a property of computation.
