Figma MCP: When designers ship working prototypes, not frames
Getting developers to build exactly what was designed is harder than it should be. Annotations get misinterpreted, Figma prototypes have their limits, and the result is usually endless QA rounds, miscommunication, and frustration on both sides.
By combining Figma MCP and Claude Code, designers can generate working prototypes that developers can interact with, reference, and rebuild : output that speaks their language from the start. This talk covers the essentials: the do’s and don’ts, how to structure Figma files for AI code generation (variables, components, proper naming), the prompt-to-prototype workflow, and why this approach effectively bridges the gap between design and development.
By working with code that clearly shows how designs should look and behave, designers and developers can collaborate more closely, reduce miscommunication, and build together more efficiently.
From hypothesis to prototype: Data driven UX as a solo designer
In earlystage startups, designers often work without clear processes, limited resources, and no design leadership. So how do you make confident UX decisions in that kind of environment?
In this talk, I’ll share how I built a data driven UX approach as a solo designer in a fast moving startup. As a second year junior designer, I had no established workflows to fall back on, so I relied on user behavior data, rapid experimentation, and focused prototyping to validate ideas and reduce uncertainty.
We’ll explore practical methods for solo designers, including how to turn product metrics into actionable UX hypotheses, run small experiments instead of large redesigns, and use prototypes to align quickly with developers. I’ll also share how to move forward without getting stuck in endless discussions or ambiguity.
This session is about moving beyond intuition and using structured thinking and experimentation to survive, adapt, and grow as a solo designer.

개발자가 디자인된 그대로 구현하도록 만드는 일은 생각보다 훨씬 어렵습니다. 주석은 잘못 해석되기 쉽고, Figma 프로토타입에도 한계가 있으며, 그 결과 끝없는 QA 라운드와 커뮤니케이션 오류, 그리고 양쪽 모두의 피로감으로 이어지곤 합니다.
Figma MCP와 Claude Code를 함께 활용하면, 디자이너는 개발자가 직접 상호작용하고 참고하며 구현할 수 있는 실제 동작하는 프로토타입을 생성할 수 있습니다. 즉, 처음부터 개발자의 언어로 소통할 수 있는 결과물을 만드는 것입니다.
이번 발표에서는 핵심적인 내용들을 다룹니다. 무엇을 해야 하고 무엇을 피해야 하는지, AI 코드 생성을 위해 Figma 파일을 어떻게 구조화해야 하는지(변수, 컴포넌트, 네이밍 규칙), 프롬프트에서 프로토타입까지 이어지는 워크플로우, 그리고 이러한 접근 방식이 디자인과 개발 간의 간극을 어떻게 효과적으로 줄이는지에 대해 설명합니다.
디자인이 어떻게 보여야 하고 어떻게 동작해야 하는지를 명확하게 보여주는 코드와 함께 작업함으로써, 디자이너와 개발자는 더 긴밀하게 협업할 수 있고, 오해를 줄이며, 더 효율적으로 제품을 만들어갈 수 있습니다.
가설에서 프로토타입까지: 1인 디자이너를 위한 데이터 기반 UX
초기 단계의 스타트업에서는 디자이너가 명확한 프로세스 없이, 제한된 리소스와 디자인 리더십 부재 속에서 일하는 경우가 많습니다. 그렇다면 이런 환경에서 어떻게 확신을 가지고 UX 의사결정을 할 수 있을까요?
이번 발표에서는 빠르게 성장하는 스타트업에서 1인 디자이너로 일하며 데이터 기반 UX 접근 방식을 구축한 경험을 공유합니다. 2년 차 주니어 디자이너로서 의존할 수 있는 확립된 워크플로우가 없었기 때문에, 사용자 행동 데이터, 빠른 실험, 그리고 집중적인 프로토타이핑을 활용해 아이디어를 검증하고 불확실성을 줄였습니다.
또한 1인 디자이너를 위한 실용적인 방법들을 살펴봅니다. 제품 지표를 실행 가능한 UX 가설로 전환하는 방법, 대규모 리디자인 대신 작은 실험을 진행하는 방식, 그리고 프로토타입을 활용해 개발자와 빠르게 정렬하는 방법 등을 다룹니다. 끝없는 논의나 모호함에 빠지지 않고 앞으로 나아가는 방법도 함께 공유합니다.
이 세션은 직관에만 의존하는 것을 넘어, 구조적인 사고와 실험을 통해 1인 디자이너로서 생존하고, 적응하며, 성장하는 방법에 관한 이야기입니다.
