AI Build Day: From Workload to Working Tool
One day, one workflow, one working tool.
Morning: you map how a real piece of your work actually moves, and find the step that eats the most time for the least value.
Afternoon: you build something that fixes it, guided the whole way. At the end, every team demos what they made.
No technical background is needed at any point. Most people in the room will never have written code.
Curiosity is the only prerequisite.
WHO SHOULD COME
Program coordinators, frontline staff, program leads, office administrators — the people carrying the heavy workloads.
You'll work in a small team; come with colleagues if you can, and we'll place you if you come alone.
WHAT IT COSTS
Nothing, just bring your laptop.
The day is free and lunch is provided. Facilitation, tools and accounts are provided too: there's nothing to buy and nothing to install beforehand.
GROUND RULES, AND WE MEAN THEM
No client or family data comes anywhere near this day. Not in an example, not in a prompt, not in a prototype.
We'll say it again on the morning, and a facilitator will stop you kindly if it drifts.
Everything a team builds stays in that team's hands.
THE PRIZE
A small judging committee picks a winning team at the end of the day.
The winning team's tool is deployed free of charge and supported by MA EdTech Solutions for a full year, within a defined support package shared with every participating organization before the day.
