XRP LEDGER CORE DEV BOOTCAMP - NYC
A 3-day deep dive into xrpld, the software that runs the XRP Ledger. For developers who want to go beyond the application layer and work directly with our core codebase.
Over three days, you'll move from ledger fundamentals to hands-on protocol engineering, covering state management and SHAMap architecture, the full transaction processing pipeline (transactors, fees, sequences), RPC architecture and how to build custom handlers, and storage backends and database operations. We'll close with amendments: how they're structured, and how they move through their lifecycle from proposal to activation.
This bootcamp is hands-on throughout, with dedicated sessions building a State Ledger Entry and a custom RPC handler from scratch.
This is a senior-level track intended for C++ developers that are eager to learn and contribute to the XRPL protocol...and the perfect ramp-up for the XRP Ledger Hackathon Protocol Innovation track happening the weekend right after.
Agenda
Day 1 — State-management foundations · SHAMap architecture & hashing · Building a State Ledger Entry (hands-on)
Day 2 — Transactor architecture · The transaction processing pipeline · State modification, fees & sequences · RPC architecture & request flow · Building a custom RPC handler
Day 3 — Storage backends & database operations · Amendments overview & architecture · The amendment lifecycle
Register now and stay tuned for prerequisites! Get your dev environment configured early so we can skip the onboarding and jump straight into building on day one.
