Tea Sit: Meditate & Learn
Join us at Chinatown Soup for an intimate, guided tea meditation. This is your invitation to slow down, be still, and connect with new faces. Come with friends or on your own; all curious drinkers are welcome. Sip a curated selection of seasonal harvests honoring traditional methods, in good company.
Hosted by Timothy Hsu
The most common plant medicine originated in China more than 2,000 years ago, when Buddhist monks spread knowledge of growing and making tea. The tea plant, or camellia sinensis, is known to calm the mind, aid digestion, and heal body tissue. We are proud to continue the tradition of sharing these medicinal benefits with fellow seekers.
Together, we will explore the ecological terroir of old-growth tea, basic techniques of brewing it, and the physical experience of integrating its energy so that you, too, can consider making the art of tea a lifelong practice.
This experience is offered as a 75-minute session. Seating is limited to four persons. Teas are single origin, sourced direct, and exclusive to Soup Cafe.
We look forward to sipping with you!
