Japanese Tea & Calligraphy Experience
A refined cultural experience in a tatami room
A rare opportunity to experience Japanese tea culture in an authentic setting in the Netherlands.
Step into an intimate tatami room and immerse yourself in a quiet, carefully curated experience of tea and calligraphy.
Each session is limited to only 4 guests, creating a deeply personal and atmospheric environment.
This event corresponds to the [14:00–15:30] session.
Japanese Calligraphy / 書道
Japanese calligraphy (Shodō) is a traditional art where creativity and mindfulness come together.
Guided by calligrapher Lanka, you will explore the structure of strokes, the role of breath, and the balance between body and mind.
At the end of the session, you will create the character “卯” — a symbol of April (Uzuki), allowing you to carry a memory of spring and this experience with you.
Japanese Tea & Seasonal Sweets
Enjoy a refined tea experience using premium Japanese teas, including ceremonial-grade matcha.
As a special highlight, gyokuro will be served as a non-alcoholic cocktail, offering a modern and creative expression of Japanese tea.
You will also enjoy the traditional Japanese sweet Dōmyōji, a seasonal delicacy inspired by cherry blossoms and the beauty of spring.
A small welcome sweet will also be served — a delightful surprise revealed on the day.

At the end of the experience, you will receive a small gift to take home — a quiet reminder of spring and your time in this space.
