About Event

Join WIIN in the City of London for an evening with Raymond James, Fulham, a boutique wealth management practice offering personalised financial advice and investment management.

The evening will begin with an opening talk from Dasha Plotnikova and Max Scholey, Wealth Managers and Branch Principals at Raymond James, Fulham - “The Fear Factor: Building a Resilient Portfolio in Volatile Markets”. Through real-world insight, they will explore how to invest and stay invested during uncertain markets, build resilient long-term portfolios and understand the role different investments, including shares and bonds, can play during volatile times.

Disclaimer: When investing, your capital is at risk. Investments can rise and fall. Always do your own research!

The evening will continue with drinks, nibbles, informal networking and a complimentary goodie bag to take home!

Despite the undeniable growing engagement in personal finance and investing, there is still a significant gender investment gap in the UK. Women are statistically less likely to invest than men, but this is not due to a lack of capability or financial understanding. The gap has largely come from the historical lack of financial education for women and the resulting feeling of inaccessibility.

In reality, studies have shown that women make very strong long-term investors because they tend to invest more consistently than men, trade less frequently and take a more measured approach to risk. Research from Warwick Business School found that women achieved average annual returns of around 1.8% higher than men. We are statistically better investors!

Whether you are completely new to investing or already building your portfolio, this event is designed to create an open, approachable and non-judgemental space for conversation, learning and networking.

We look forward to seeing you there!
