MYDC - Dance Workshop
Our dance sessions offer an inclusive and dynamic space where young people explore movement, creativity, and cultural expression. Rooted in Afro-diasporic styles such as Afro House, Kuduro, and other global influences, the sessions combine technique, rhythm, and storytelling to create a rich and engaging learning experience.
Each session is designed to be accessible to all levels, focusing on building confidence, coordination, and self-expression. Through a youth-led and co-creative approach, participants are encouraged to contribute ideas, develop their own movement vocabulary, and collaborate in the creation of choreography.
The sessions go beyond dance technique they create a safe and empowering environment where young people can connect with their identity, culture, and community. Emphasis is placed on respect, inclusion, and personal growth, ensuring that every participant feels seen, valued, and supported.
These sessions also support progression into performances, giving participants the opportunity to showcase their work, build stage confidence, and experience being part of a collective creative process.
