Becoming The Capital
Angel investing can often feel like a world reserved for other people.
Too complicated. Too exclusive. Too financial.
And yet, the flow of capital shapes which ideas grow, which founders get backed, and who builds long-term wealth.
This session is designed to open up that conversation.
What this session is about
Becoming the Capital is part of the Women, Wealth & Capital series exploring how women build wealth, access capital, and create greater influence across the funding ecosystem.
At FemFinity, we often talk about the FemFinity Loop: founders becoming funders, and more women backing more women. Because when women have greater access to capital and confidence around investing, the impact extends far beyond individual businesses.
The Insight
We’ll begin with insights from Rowena Humby, Trustee of The Female Lead, sharing findings from The Female Lead’s recent research study into women and money.
With a community of over 8.7 million followers, The Female Lead spoke to 3,500+ women to better understand perceptions around money, investing, wealth, and financial confidence and the findings are staggering.
The research paints a clearer picture of the barriers, behaviours, and opportunities shaping how women engage with wealth and investment today, setting the scene for a wider conversation around what needs to change.
The Panel
We’ll then move into a practical panel discussion with angel investors and operators exploring:
What angel investing actually looks like in practice
Different ways to get started, even without a traditional finance background or needing large amounts of money to begin
The role women can play in shaping the future of investment
Building long-term wealth, influence, and access through capital
Hosted with the Independent Women team from Forvis Mazars at their London offices, this session brings together founders, operators, investors, and women curious about taking a more active role in the flow of capital.
Who this session is for:
Women curious about angel investing but unsure where to start
Founders thinking more intentionally about long-term wealth and ownership
Operators and aspiring investors wanting to better understand how capital works
Anyone interested in helping shape a more inclusive investment landscape
