Every generation feels it is living through unprecedented change. Yet we are not the first to stand on unsteady ground. We belong to a long river of humanity that has endured before us. How do we live with steadiness, resilience, and quiet courage in the time that is ours? What unseen threads bind us to those who came before — and to one another now?

Others have lived through plague, war, exile, and tremendous upheaval — and still found ways to love, to create, to pray, to gather, to tend what mattered most. What shifts can happen in us when we remember that we are not alone, not in this moment, not in history?

Standing on strong ground, finding our own terra firma can grow roots deep enough to carry us through.  What can steady us when the way ahead is fierce and hard? 

Urgency exhausts and unsettles our spirit. Resilience and endurance are built through small, faithful, consistent acts. What daily rituals, rhythms and flow are quietly strengthening you for the season ahead?

One day, others will look back on our time. What consistent, small committed acts are available to us now? How will we decide, however imperfectly, to live faithfully in our own time?
