Animation and VFX pipelines are full of repetitive work. Rigging setups, blendshape systems, render wrangling, file naming, the hundred small scripts that keep a studio moving. More and more artists and TDs are using Claude to build the tools that take that work off their plate, and almost nobody is talking about how.

This is an evening for exactly that conversation. A few short talks from people in the South African industry who use Claude in their day-to-day pipelines, followed by proper time to chat, compare notes and argue about it over a drink.

A handful of short talks from working professionals across animation and VFX, each focused on the practical side of things: how they’re using Claude, what it’s changed about the way they work, and what they’ve learnt along the way.

Then open floor. Bring your questions, your scepticism and your own experiments. The goal is honest, open discussion about the tooling.

Animators, VFX artists, technical directors, pipeline engineers, studio leads, students and anyone building for the animation industry in and around Cape Town. You don’t need to have used Claude before. Curiosity is enough.

Talks are about how people use Claude, not about promoting a company or a reel. We keep the room respectful of the very real conversations happening in this industry right now.
