4th Annual 108 Sun Salutations in English Challenge!

We’re so happy to have you join this special event once again — or for the very first time!

This year, we’re continuing our tradition of coming together as a global yoga community to celebrate growth, gratitude, and connection through movement and breath. ✨

Join us for a special Zoom practice where we’ll explore the significance of the number 108, followed by a light warm-up, 108 rounds of Sun Salutation A, a cool-down, and Shavasana.

Together, let’s move, breathe, and give back — supporting 

, a charity that helps empower women and children in India through yoga.

今年も、そして初めての方も、この特別なイベントにご参加いただき本当にありがとうございます。

このイベントは、毎年ヨガコミュニティとして集い、「成長」「感謝」「つながり」を呼吸と動きを通して祝う大切な時間です。✨

特別なZoomイベントでは、まず「108」という数字の意味を学び、その後、軽いウォームアップ、太陽礼拝Aを108回、クールダウン、そしてシャヴァーサナを行います。

This live-streamed event is suitable for all levels, but yoga beginners may find it challenging. Listen to your body, rest in Child’s Pose when needed, and remember this applies to everyone.

A confirmation email with details on how to join will be sent after registration, along with a reminder email 1 hour before the event begins.

Register before December 15th and receive a

If you can't stay for the entire session, that’s perfectly fine. You’re welcome to leave at your convenience. We encourage you to take a moment to stretch and relax before departing.

The session is scheduled to finish by 11:30 AM JST, though we may finish earlier, allowing ample time to practice and unwind.

1. What if I’ve never done Sun Salutations 108 times before?

108回太陽礼拝をやったことがない場合はどうすれば良いですか？】

This event is open to all levels, but it may be intense for beginners. We recommend taking breaks when needed and resting in Child’s Pose whenever you feel tired. Don’t worry if you can’t complete all 108 rounds; listening to your body is the most important thing!

【このイベントは全レベル対応ですが、初心者にはややハードかもしれません。疲れたときは、チャイルドポーズで休んでください。108回すべてをやりきらなくても大丈夫です。体の声を聞くことが最も重要です！】

2. Can I invite a friend or family member to join me?

友人や家族を招待してもいいですか？

Absolutely! If you and your friend or family member are in the same location, only one registration is required. However, please send Maiku a message if you'd like to receive a digital 

 for your friend or family member as well. If they are in a different location, please have them register separately.

3. What if I’m not confident in my English skills?

Don’t worry! This event is designed for all levels, including those who are not native English speakers. The instructions will be simple and easy to follow, and Maiku and Yoko are here to support you throughout the session. You don’t need to understand every word—just focus on the movements and enjoy the experience!

心配しないでください！このイベントは、英語が母国語でない方にも対応しています。指示はシンプルで分かりやすく、Maiku先生とYoko先生がサポートします。すべての言葉を理解する必要はありませんので、動きに集中して楽しんでください！

4. Do I need to stay for the whole class?

クラス全体に参加する必要がありますか？】

Not at all. If you need to leave early, feel free to do so at any time. Just take a few moments to stretch and cool down before you go.

We will not be recording the session. However, we will take group photos at the beginning and end of the class. If you prefer not to appear in these photos, please let Maiku or Yoko know before the event.

6. What if I have a question during the session?

Feel free to ask questions in the Zoom chat during the session. Maiku and Yoko will be monitoring the chat and answering questions as time allows.

If you arrive late, don’t worry! You’ll still be able to join the class. Please be patient while we let you into the session.
