Inner Ecology through Qi Gong and Meditation
Amelie Catheline and Alejandro Santos will guide a one-hour practice of seating meditation and Qi Gong, a form of moving meditation. The practice will be centered on connecting with Nature and our innerself. Meditation and movements will help build this connection, awareness and self-reflection. Nature provides wonders from which one can draw new perspectives and understandings about its own nature. It can support us as we try to shape a reality that brings more kindness and compassion towards one another and towards all living creatures. Join us on a journey to self-exploration through guided movements and meditation!
Open to all. No prerequisites needed. Bring a yoga mat, beach towel or blanket, and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
After the session, let’s head to the cafe for a beverage and talk about our oneness with nature and share how we are helping our planet. You will be introduced to “A New Humanity - Embracing Our Responsibility for the Earth” by Ilchi Lee and will have the opportunity to sign the New Humanity Pledge https://www.newhumanitypledge.org/pledge
With 15 years of training, Amelie Catheline teaches people to support them on their physical, emotional, and spiritual journey. Her spiritual journey is both embedded in the Taoist Chinese tradition and the energy arts. As an environmental activist, herself, practicing Tai Chi & Qi Gong has helped her bring calm amid action, as well as a clear awareness of how she wants to show up in the world and what she stands for. She strives to share this wisdom.
Alejandro Santos is passionate, innovative and creative with a strong set of values embedded in caring for nature. He grew up with an innate sense of connection to Nature and more specifically to the Chaparral. He brings his passion through his works as a County of San Diego Park Ranger. His spiritual journey is deeply influenced by the Buddhist teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh.
