​Amsterdam's hodgepodge made from daring performances

​Mengelmoes is a surprising blend of interdisciplinary performance art, showcasing new concepts in music, dance, poetry and more. At every Mengelmoes, at least five daring acts cross-over disciplines and melt together. Artists often share new work with a warm and receptive audience. Come enjoy a mishmash of live culture!

​Y.O.P.E. & Avvnt MM - known from North Sea Jazz

​Futuristic sounds, avant-garde jazz, electronic experiments & a little bit of beautiful chaos. For the first time Y.O.P.E. and Avvnt MM will take the stage together. The two artists released their futuristic, electronic, indie, experimental avant-garde jazz album Music for Dogs last May, and will pay a tribute to it at Mengelmoes.

Alkistis Μisouli - violinist, composer & improviser

​A Conservatorium van Amsterdam alumna, she performs internationally – from the Concertgebouw and Berlin Konzerthaus to venues in Oman, China, and the U.S. – she currently plays with the baroque ensembles Armonia Atenea and Balthasar Neumann and leads her own sextet. Their debut album entitled 'Vulnerability Portraits' has recently been released under 8192 Records.

Carmen Capuano - Dance

​“D*str*ction” is a work in progress piece about the role of art as entertainment and distraction from the destruction that we keep witnessing all over the world. In this piece @carmen_moves in collaboration with @kick.greven explore the feeling of taking refuge and finding solace in a work of art when everything else around you is falling apart in a blend of music, dance and spoken word poetry.

Miss Meredith - Talkbox, keyboard and singing
