The Alice Anderson Memorial Project is partnering with the City of Boroondara to commission a bronze statue of automotive pioneer and entrepreneur Alice Anderson. Alice was a mechanic and in 1919, at the age of 22, established Australia’s very first motor garage run entirely by women. This community-led initiative will deliver a significant public artwork to be installed near the site of Alice’s Kew Garage.
