Micro Masterclass with Dr. Laura Dornheim
💡 “Taking Munich to the 21st Century – Meet the Architect of Our City’s Digital Future”
What does it actually mean to build a digital city? And who gets to shape that future?
We are closing this semester’s Micro Masterclass series at Public Makers with a conversation on digital governance, AI, and the future of urban administration, together with Laura Dornheim. 🚀
As Chief Digital Officer and Head of IT for the City of Munich, Laura Dornheim leads the digital transformation of Bavaria’s largest municipality. She oversees the city’s IT infrastructure, manages a 1,400-person IT organization, and drives projects ranging from administrative digitalization to the use of AI in public services.
By working at the intersection of technology, public administration, and digital participation, Laura brings a distinctive perspective on how cities can remain both innovative and citizen-oriented in the digital age.
The session will begin with a moderated conversation with Laura, followed by an open Q&A with participants.
Join us for an afternoon of discussion on public innovation, technology, and what the future of cities could look like.
