BC + AI Life Sciences: Monthly supper
We started at a dinner table.
October: AI Life Sciences meetup
Featuring:
Founder member update/intro
Global objective:
Updates on AI applications in life sciences and the Wild Salmon program for BC.
Local objective:
Updates on AI implementation in BC healthcare with particular attention to mental health and drug use.
This supper is for the people prepared to give of themselves and their AI knowledge to make a difference in society. Where can a tool help someone prepare a better question, understand instructions, or find the next step? Where does confidence become dangerous? What must always lead back to a human?
How the evening moves
6:00 PM: Doors open. Serendipity awakens
6:30 PM: Simon Haworth and Kris Krüg set the frame.
6:45 PM: Supper, field notes, and founder member update
7:15 PM: Local healthcare and AI applications
8:00 PM: Global AI and BC's profile
9:00 PM: Formal close. Conversations flow 'till the wine stops up.
Who this is for
You work at the intersection of AI and life sciences in BC (or you want to) and you would like to make a contribution by taking your place at the table, literally and metaphorically;
You have a burning life-sciences ambition - global or local - and you want AI to help deliver it;
You want to let serendipity do her thing, revealing new and unexpected connections in the sector;
You're willing to say what's actually hard, not just what's exciting.
About the series
The BC + AI Life Sciences community is a special interest group inside the BC + AI ecosystem, co-led by Simon Haworth (CEO, Intellomx; BC-UK-PRC-US entrepreneur and investor) and Kris Krüg (BC + AI).
BC + AI is BC's independent AI ecosystem, focused on ethical, community-accountable adoption of AI across sectors. No hype, no boosterism — just the work.
