Lisbon Tech Connect: Let’s Talk About AI 🤖

Good Enough to Trust?

AI has made building cheap. Anyone can spin up a website, an app, or a campaign in an afternoon.

So the questions have changed:

What’s actually worth building? And who’s really in control?

Join us on 17 September for a frank conversation about AI, work, decision-making, and what happens when our job shifts from doing the work to directing the machines that do it.

🎤 Speakers

Bharath Rao — Co-Founder of Sittin' Pretty + Candid, Ego to Eureka podcast & keynotes
Tetiana Torovets — Senior Director of Data Science, SIXT
Jordan Goldmeier — CEO of Anarchy Data, author of Becoming a Data Head, fifteen-time Microsoft MVP.

Three perspectives, one big question:

How do we put machines back in their place — as engines we direct rather than forces that direct us?

Expect sharp insights, uncomfortable questions, live reflections, and practical takeaways for founders, operators, managers, tech professionals, and anyone navigating the AI transition.

📅 Agenda

18:30 — Registration & networking
19:00 — Welcome
19:10 — Speaker sessions & conversation
20:00 — Networking with the community
21:00 — Event ends

Why join?

Two years ago, watching AI build a website in a minute felt like magic.

Today, that demo is the baseline.

We’ve all become orchestrators — founders, developers, marketers, managers and operators directing increasingly powerful AI systems.

Come explore what that means for what we build, how we work, and who stays in control.

You’ll also have plenty of time to meet founders, tech professionals, startups and innovators from across Lisbon’s growing tech ecosystem.
