​westside sounds is a concert series created to feature the beautiful diversity of talent in our west side community and beyond. founded and hosted by venice singer/songwriter and activist ethan buckner, the ethos of westside sounds is all about creating space for community, connection, joy, and collective healing in these turbulent times.

​as moss now occupies the former home of the original winston house- westside sounds continues the tradition of uplifting emerging artists and strengthening la’s music scene, while paying homage to the space’s musical roots.

​meet the artists

​about ethan:

​la singer/songwriter, activist, and community builder ethan buckner founded the concert series westside sounds to cultivate community, connection, joy, and healing in turbulent times. ethan’s 2024 debut record treading water, produced by grammy-nominee justin glasco (paris paloma, the lone bellow), weaves between moments both intimate and anthemic, exploring struggles that are both deeply personal and unavoidably collective. following a whirlwind year of touring and releases, including a headline debut at la’s iconic troubadour, ethan and glasco are hard at work on his second lp. the project delves into grief, reckoning, and redemption that emerged after ethan found himself immobilized for months in early 2025 following a severe back injury. ethan is grateful to be back in the mix, weaving the magic of music and community.

​about david:

​david redd is a singer, songwriter, essayist, and storyteller slowly proving that his english degree was actually worthwhile. equal parts confessional and polemical, his latest album “love is everything & it will not save you” blends elements of soul, funk, folk, jazz, and psychedelia into something we used to just call rock & roll. a collage of disparate sounds and styles, it explores the modern experience of falling in love while the world falls apart. stream it everywhere—or check out his newsletter/substack for deeper thoughts on life, love, and the pursuit of sanity.

​about space flower:

​known for their hazy, dreamy soundscapes and infectious, high-energy performances, space flower is a psychedelic surf rock band based in venice beach, california. comprised of brent hollingworth, chris gage, sam madden and featuring a cast of talented los angeles-based musicians in their live shows, the band has gained a reputation as a creative collective.

​a fusion of classic surf rock riffs with psychedelic elements, their music captures a nostalgic spirit within a new and captivating sonic atmosphere. their debut ep, “philosopher's nebula,” released in november 2024, showcases a unique blend of deep rhythms, reverb-drenched guitars, and introspective yet playful lyrics.

​with a growing fan base and an electric live presence, the band is constantly evolving and expanding with shows to be announced throughout the west coast and beyond.

​about chloe:

​chloe kat is a singer-songwriter from los angeles, ca. her music is lyrically dense with strong melodies and folk finger-stylings. she has recently dropped a song, ‘rosefruit,’ from her upcoming americana record produced/recorded by the band members of tears for fears. she currently co-hosts and performs at a weekly songwriter showcase in hollywood at desert 5 spot.

​about trinity

​emerging from the sun-soaked landscapes of arizona, trinity mei is an indie folk singer-songwriter captivating audiences with her delicate tone and intimate lyricism. drawing inspiration from artists such as adrianne lenker, phoebe bridgers, and stevie nicks, she blends traditional folk roots with a progressive, contemporary edge. her music weaves poetic storytelling with enchanting melodies, offering clarity and comfort in the face of complex emotions. each song opens a window into her world, fearlessly revealing both her hardships and triumphs while finding strength in authenticity. now based in los angeles, trinity is an active presence in the city’s live music scene and tours throughout the southwest, building anticipation for her debut ep arriving in 2026.

​about ofier:

​ofier is an israeli-american dj, producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for blending live guitar and bass with house and electronic music. he’s played festivals like desert hearts and burning man, touring internationally, and is praised for energetic, genre-bending sets.

​about moss:

moss is a conscious co-working, wellness and event space in the heart of venice. Our intention is to  grow authentic community based on our values of curiosity, creativity and compassion.
