JARVIS - Tech Events
The Registration Fee for the Technical events are listed below and you'll get notified through E-mail and WhatsApp once you're Registered.
Events:
Robowar - Registration Fees:Rs.500
RULES:
BOT DETAILS :
*Permissible weight : maximum of 10 kg ( including power equipment like Batteries,Power adapters)
*Robots can be wired or wireless
*Maximum permissible volume. The fully unfolded
robot must be within the limits of 35cm x 35cm (L x B).
There is no Maximum height for a robot (Dictated by
the design and weight Constraints).
*Robot must be SUMO type (push type)
*Robots can't have weapons such as cutters, Flippers,
saws, lifting Devices, spinning hammers, etc.
*Use of liquid projectiles of any kind of liquids, flame-
based weapons, radio jamming devices ,high power
magnets or electromagnet's are not permitted.
*In the case of Batteries ,The maximum Allowed voltage is 12 v DC.
EVENT DETAILS :
*The competition will be played on a knock-out basis
consisting of 2 players at a time.
*The maximum duration of each war/fight will be 1.30
minutes (3 section)
*Robots once caged team members are not allowed to
change the robot.
*Only replacement of identical parts and batteries is
allowed during the servicing time.
Drone Race - Registration Fees:Rs.300
EVENT SPECIFICATIONS
1) Maximum team size of 3 students.
2) Track details will be updated on website and shared to
racers prior to event day.
3) Round 1 will be a time trial based qualifier.
4) Round 2 will be an race event.
5) The event will be held under IDRL rules, regulations.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
1) 5" frames with a maximum of Gs batteries allowed.
2) All frames and equipment will be tested for safety before
racing.
3) Carbon fibre propellers are not allowed.
4) Charging stations will be provided but participants are
required to bring their own batteries and chargers.
RC Adventure - Registration Fees:Rs.200
RULES:
Readymade bots will be eliminated.
The permitted dimensions of the bot is 35cm*35cm*35cm.
Rounds will be conducted on the Track including ramps and other obstacles.
Home bots are allowed.
The bot should be operated on a battery source. Both wireless and wired configuration is permitted.
Extra batteries and other accessories will not be provided at the venue.
Any Physical damage to the bot will lead to disqualification.
The second round will be evaluated on a time basis.
Only 2 team members will be allowed to step on the track.
Judges’ decisions will be final.
Design-20, Time-50, obstacle -30.
Hackathon - Registration Fees:Rs.50
RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS:
1. Teams may have a maximum of 4 members.
2. Teams must be registered with proper identification (Student ID card) before the event commencement.
3. Teams should be made up exclusively of accepted students who are not organizers, volunteers, mentors, judges, sponsors, or any other privileged position at the event.
4. Teams should be only of students currently pursuing a degree in any college.
5. Teams can work on ideas that have already been done. Hacks do not have to be “innovative”. If somebody wants to work on a common idea they will be allowed to do so and will be judged on the quality of their hack. (These days it's hard to find something that's fully original and teams might not know an idea has been done before anyway.)
6. Teams can work on an idea that they have worked on before (as long as they do not re-use code).
7. Teams can use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects. Working on a project before the event and open-sourcing it for the sole purpose of using the code during the event is against the spirit of the rules and is not allowed.
8. Adding new features to existing projects is allowed. Judges will only consider new functionality introduced or new features added during the blackthorn in determining the winners.
9. Teams must stop hacking once the time is up.
10. Projects that violate the Code of Conduct are not allowed.
11. Teams can be disqualified from the competition at the organizers’ discretion. Reasons might include but are not limited to breaking the Competition Rules, breaking the Code of Conduct, or other unsporting behavior.
Teams will be judged on these five criteria. During judging, participants should try to describe what they did for each criterion in their project. **DECISION OF THE JUDGES WILL BE FINAL**

Paper Presentation - Registration Fees:Rs.50
1. Eligibility: Teams should be formed only by students pursuing a degree in any college. Team size should not exceed 3 members. Teams will be allowed to present their work only if they report to the venue before the scheduled timing.
2. Competition Mode: The event has two rounds (online and offline). Teams are requested to submit the abstract of their work that does not exceed 200 words to the provided link. Selected papers should relate to the core of mechanical, electronics or electrical engineering. Top 30 abstracts will be selected and selected teams only are allowed to participate in offline mode with the presentation. The selected teams will be notified on or before 20.09.2023.
3. One Entry per Team: Teams are entitled to one entry in competition. This entry shall be uploaded to the provided link on or before 19.09.2023. The file name shall read: Team Name_ Paper Title_ Author.pdf. [gform link]
4. Abstract selection criteria:
Adherence to theme (refer Rule 2).
Novelty of the work.
Articulation of content.
5.Presentation Scoring Criteria:
Degree to which presentation addressed and supported key concepts of written paper and them of contest - 20 points.
Ability to communicate key concepts from written paper and to convince audience of their importance - 50 points
Personal bearing (i.e. appearance, poise, eye contact) -10 points
Delivery style (i.e. reading, memorized, conversational) / pronunciation and proper use of technical language and grammar / enthusiasm and voice projection - 10 points
Time (see Rule 6) - 10 points
Errors in logic or facts — Negative marks upto 10 points.
6. Timing: Each presentation is to be within 5 five minutes in duration of formal delivery. Few minutes of questioning by judges will be allotted following each presentation. Allowance of + or - 5 seconds without penalty;0.05 point penalty per second difference from required 5 minutes (i.e. 5:05 or 4:55 = no penalty; 5:20 or 4:40 = 1 point penalty).
7. Judging: Presentations at the contest will be judged by [Jury] selected in advance of the competition. The judges will evaluate the presentations independently and will not compare their ratings until all presentations have been completed. A detailed breakdown of the scoring procedure is outlined on the scoring summary sheet. The aggregate of the marks obtained in each scoring criteria will be used to finalize the ranking.
8. There will be no stated ranking of the presentations other than the first, second, and third prize winner.
Project Presentation - Registration Fees:Rs.50
Rules:
* Teams should be formed by students pursuing a degree in any college.
* Each team should have a maximum of 3 — 5 members.
* Teams should present their presentation along with the model.
* Each team will be given 5 — 10 minutes to present the PPT.
* All the hardware components along with the working model should be available during the presentation.
* Students should come in formals and proper college ID Card.
* The order of the presentation will be based on the online registration.
* Teams who have done on-spot registrations will be given chance after the completion of online registered teams
