Bridging Private and Public: Artificial Intelligence and International Law (Private)
Artificial intelligence raises new questions for international law, from cross-border disputes and contracts to the governance of AI beyond the state. This two-day conference in Barcelona, organised by Universitat Pompeu Fabra, brings together scholars and practitioners to look at these questions from both sides of international law.
Day 2 covers private international law. Topics include judicial ethics and algorithmic decision-making, AI agents and contracts made across borders, conflict of laws, jurisdiction in cross-border digital disputes, technical standards, international organisations and the institutional design of global AI governance.
The conference opens on Thursday 12 November with public international law. It needs a separate registration: luma.com/muoxhnly
