Bridging Private and Public: Artificial Intelligence and International Law (Public)
Artificial intelligence raises new questions for international law, from the use of force and cyber operations to accountability and global regulation. This two-day conference in Barcelona, organised by Universitat Pompeu Fabra, brings together scholars and practitioners to look at these questions from both sides of international law.
Day 1 covers public international law. Topics include peace and security, state sovereignty, the jus contra bellum, cyber operations, human rights at the EU borders, international criminal responsibility, autonomous weapons and the Council of Europe Framework Convention on AI. The programme also includes the presentation of the book The Human Right to Science: A Framework for Justiciability (Cambridge University Press), by Dr Monika Plozza.
Day 2 continues on Friday 13 November with private international law. It needs a separate registration: luma.com/8sgamsj2
