Scotland Tech for Good Retreat
Hand-selected guests, drawn from different streams of frontier-tech work, four days in the Scottish Borders, building a community around a single shared question:
How can our skills and technology improve life on Earth?
Format
Using participatory creation as the method, our group will co-create the curriculum that unfolds over the days together.
Each morning three participants will present their view on the question posed above. Each participant will have twenty minutes to share their perspective and views, with another twenty minutes for discussion with the room.
During the afternoon, we will break into small groups, each walking the surrounding country and reflecting on the morning. The opportunity to deeply reflect and to meet your fellow participants. Evenings we reconvene for dinner. Groups will rotate daily, allowing maximum integration across the group
The design follows the neuroscience of creativity: confront challenge, break pattern of thought, return for breakthroughs.
Additional activities:
Each morning there will be an hour of meditation teaching and practice available to join. The tennis court, local hiking and walks also available. Whisky distillery tour, Tartan, Cashmere and Wool Mill tours and visits to local craft breweries also possible at an additional charge.
