About Event

A two-day workshop to uncover the patterns that keep you from connecting and expressing yourself freely.

Do you…

  • Leave conversations wishing you’d said what you really meant?

  • Wish the playful, expressive you would show up around other people?

  • Want to speak up without rehearsing every word?

  • Wish you could enjoy a conversation without picking yourself apart afterward?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, this workshop is for you.

Let yourself be seen, without working so hard to be liked.

You can be in the company of others and still feel distant and disconnected. This is often because so much effort goes into managing how people see you that there’s limited space to connect with them.

The things you do to create connection can become the very things that block it.

  • You keep talking because silence feels like losing connection

  • You agree because you don’t want to disappoint

  • You work to be seen a certain way, and end up hiding who you are.

The Art of Relating is a chance to discover these patterns as they happen. Through playful exercises with other people, you’ll begin to see what gets in the way of connecting and explore what it feels like when you don’t have to work so hard.

These two days lay the foundation for more freedom in how you express yourself, more ease around other people, and more depth in your relationships.

What We’ll Be Doing

Partner and small-group work: Playful exercises designed to help you learn about how you relate.

Body-based exercises: Noticing what’s happening in your body when you’re communicating; where you hold tension, and what you might not usually be aware of.

Working with the breath: Exploring how your breath can help you feel more connected to yourself when you’re with another person.

Vocal training: Discovering where your voice is coming from in your body, and what changes when you give it more space.

This workshop is for people interested in:

  • Building strong communities

  • Public speaking

  • Deeper connection and stronger relationships

  • More confidence and clarity in communicating

  • Less anxiety around other people

  • More comfort in your own skin

  • More ease in expressing yourself
