Cycle Check-ins: 6-Session How Am I? Journey
Every season of your cycle carries its own strengths, a different kind of energy, focus, creativity or intuition, if we know how to notice them. Yet most of us were never taught to see our cycle as a source of power rather than something to manage.
Join Nikki Berridge and Kate Penning, co-founders of Howami, for a free live season of conversations exploring the hidden superpowers of your inner seasons and how to work with them rather than against them.
This Autumn, we're gathering the same group across six biweekly sessions, a full season together, so we can move beyond a single check-in and really deepen the relationship you have with your cycle. A gentle, familiar space to pause, check in, ask questions and get to know your unique self and your cyclical patterns a little better, session by session.
We invite you to join our autumn cohort!
That's six insightful and empowering biweekly sessions...
Each gathering builds on the last, so you're warmly encouraged to join the whole journey:
Session 1 – Overview of the Four Inner Seasons (Wednesday 2 September)
Next, we'll deepen our understanding of each season, biologically, energetically, psychologically, emotionally and socially, exploring the lived impact of each one, both the challenges and, importantly, the inner power they hold:
Session 2 – Inner Spring (Wednesday 16 September)
Session 3 – Inner Summer (Wednesday 30 September)
Session 4 – Inner Autumn (Wednesday 14 October)
Session 5 – Inner Winter (Wednesday 28 October)
Last but not least:
Session 6 – Life Stage Cycle: the seasons of one's life and weaving selfcare through them (Wednesday 11 November)
Having a menstrual cycle means we are in constant dialogue of 'change'. We are essentially in a constant flux of change...
Some days we might feel energised and brimming full of ideas, while other days concentration can feel a little harder. Sometimes our emotions sit up close to the surface or we may find ourselves wanting more quiet than company.
While many of us recognise these shifts because we live them, few of us are ever given the opportunity to name and notice, to understand 'why' these experiences are occurring.
At Howami, we believe that awareness begins with a simple question:
How am I today?
When we begin to notice our own patterns with curiosity rather than judgement, we can start building a relationship with our cycle instead of being in reaction to it. Across this season, we'll return to that question together, again and again, and watch what a difference paying attention makes.
We'll explore the four inner seasons of the menstrual cycle: not as boxes to fit into, but as a framework for noticing the changing landscape of our bodies and minds.
Inner Winter (Menstrual)
Inner Spring (Follicular)
Inner Summer (Ovulatory)
Inner Autumn (Luteal)
Big Red Rule: Every cycle is unique. There is no "right" way to experience these seasons. Together we'll explore what comes from paying attention to our own lived menstrual experiences.
Whether you're just beginning to learn about your cycle, supporting someone else, or simply curious to understand yourself more deeply, you're so very warmly welcome...
WHAT TO EXPECT
We want each gathering to be a relaxing and calming space. We'll begin with a mindful exercise led by Kate, inviting everyone to check in and tune in with themselves and notice.
From there, Nikki will explore the changing rhythms of the menstrual cycle, sharing practical insights, current understanding and everyday reflections that can help make sense of experiences many of us have had but never quite had the language for.
There'll be space for questions throughout, with time at the end for open conversation. Because we're journeying as a season with the same group, there's room for our understanding, and our trust in one another, to deepen week on week. Your questions won't just shape each session, they'll help shape the seasons to come. We value the power of collaboration with every voice mattering and you will be an important catalyst to open up these natural and shame-free conversations.

ABOUT NIKKI AND KATE
Nikki Berridge and Kate Penning are the co-founders of Howami, a values driven, social impact organisation working to transform the way we understand menstrual cycle awareness with open conversation and community.
With a focus on young menstruators, together, they're building digital tools that help young people and the adults that support them develop body autonomy and literacy, emotional intelligence and a deeper understanding of themselves. One check-in, one conversation and one shared story at a time.
