About Event

We used to inherit our identities. Now, we create (and recreate) them.

Family, culture, religion, class, gender roles, and geography once did most of the work of telling us who we were. Today, we’re expected to choose everything from our careers, values, aesthetics, beliefs, lifestyles, even our personalities.

Identity is no longer something we discover once. It’s something we’re always shaping — consciously or not — through our relationships, work, media, trauma, ambition, and desire to belong.

At this salon, we’ll explore how identity is formed, performed, and rewritten. We’ll explore questions like:

✨ Where does our sense of self actually come from — nature, nurture, stories, or social mirrors?
✨ How much of who we are is chosen versus conditioned?
✨ Who are we when no one is watching — and how often do we let that self lead?
✨ How do roles (career, partner, friend, “the strong one”) quietly harden into identity?
✨ What does it take to intentionally evolve your identity without losing yourself?

Join us for a night of curious conversation on selfhood, influence, and the quiet power we have to become someone new.

Drinks and snacks provided! We’ll be in Hell's Kitchen.

Attendance Policy: Please only RSVP if you can make it. If you cancel within 48 hours of an event, you won’t be able to attend the next two salons (exceptions made if you're feeling sick — please stay home and message me if that’s the case). Salons rely on people showing up, so help us keep the vibe right by committing if you can.

PS. Know someone who would love this? Invite them — just have them RSVP separately!
PPS. Want to come but too much of a financial burden? Message me — we’ll figure it out.
