The group’s associated companies had combined net sales of EUR 4.4 billion, an adjusted EBITDA of EUR 299 million, and employed approximately 16,000 people in the fiscal year 2023. In addition, Virala has investments in more than 150 private equity and venture capital funds and over 30 direct investments, mainly in startups and co-investments with the aforementioned funds.
Alexander Ehrnrooth is a 7th-generation owner of the Fiskars Group (founded in 1649), whose portfolio today includes brands such as Waterford, Georg Jensen, Gerber, Royal Copenhagen and more.
Dr. Brian Mehling is founder of Blue Horizon Therapeautic Sciences where he has invested $20 Million of personal funds to start this venture. In addition, Dr. Mehling founded the Mehling Family Office alongside his siblings with a dedicated mission to promote regenerative medicine and stem cell technology. Their focus extends beyond the advancement of these cutting-edge fields to ensuring that these innovations are accessible to underserved populations.
