International Generalist Day - Boulder
International Generalist Day 2026 🌍
Imagine you could meet new friends who understand your squiggly background? Well, now you can!
Join Cayla Moss in Boulder for International Generalist Day, a global celebration taking place simultaneously in cities worldwide on September 16th, 2026.
This is a picnic and yard-game hang at Eben G. Fine Park to connect the generalists of Boulder. We'll share stories of our squiggly paths, get wildly excited about the bizarre things we have in common, and celebrate the ways we don't fit into any one box.
What is a generalist?
Professionals who apply their skills across multiple domains, connect disparate ideas, or serve as "translators" between different teams and disciplines. We rarely just "pick one thing and stick to it" and, honestly, we don't want to. If you've ever felt your career doesn't fit in a single box, this celebration is for you.
Mandatory things to bring
Yourself and a sense of curiosity
Other things you can bring to add to the fun
Your favorite snack to binge on when you are nerding out on something new
A blanket
A yard game
