VITALIUM | Kāi Qi (開氣) / Energy Starter Session
Experience the Vitalium practice through a guided introductory session designed for first-time participants.
Rooted in the rare Shaolin Nei Jing Yi Zhi Chan lineage, this training carries forward an ancient system of internal cultivation through contemporary Qigong practice.
Through foundational stance work, breath training, and guided energetic activation, participants begin to open and accelerate the body’s natural vitality. In traditional training, this stage is known as Kāi Qi (開氣)—the point at which a practitioner first begins to perceive and circulate internal energy through the body.
Across Asia, many people seek private appointments with Qigong masters specifically to receive Kāi Qi. The Vitalium method integrates this energetic activation directly into training, allowing students to begin sensing and developing their internal vitality from the very start.
During the session, first-time participants receive energy transfers from instructor Albert Chen, designed to help initiate this process. Over many years of teaching, he developed this approach to support students—especially those who may initially struggle to sense internal energy—so they can begin their practice from a strong and encouraging starting point.
Many participants leave their first session with a quiet but unmistakable realization: a capacity within them has just been awakened.
The training also forms the foundation for Vitalium Therapy. Within the Shaolin Nei Jing Yi Zhi Chan tradition, practitioners learn not only to cultivate internal vitality but, over time, to direct that energy outward. Through years of disciplined practice, this ability can be used to support others—often helping relieve chronic discomfort, reduce pain, and restore ease of movement.
At the end of the session, participants may observe a short Vitalium Therapy demonstration, offering a glimpse of how internal cultivation may eventually be applied in service to others.
Physically engaging yet accessible, the session offers a clear sense of whether deeper training resonates.

About Vitalium
Vitalium is a modern training system rooted in the rare Shaolin Nei Jing Yi Zhi Chan lineage. Blending centuries-old internal cultivation with contemporary Qigong practice, Vitalium develops energy, focus, resilience, and whole-body vitality.
A central element of the training is the gradual opening of internal energy awareness—traditionally referred to as Kāi Qi. Through structured stance work, breath training, and guided energetic activation, practitioners learn to sense, circulate, and refine the body’s internal vitality over time.
Vitalium is both a disciplined practice and a community dedicated to exploring human potential, longevity, and mindful vitality.
